The TV watch parties have women(elderly),old men and guys like Robert Pratt(large wasteline&large mouth) and I feel like I'm the only former athlete with any working knowledge of goverment operations in the room. I'm sure the radical "camera hounds" that have big mouths with "white sheets in closet at home" probably go the "Right-Wing" republican rallies. Cameras always draw "goofballs" that hope they get on a newscast. I now avoid cameras to not give my "two-cents" since I'm the "fiscal conservative/smaller government" republican at local republican headquarters. Republicans did call me today "crying uncle" on this entry.
http://lubbockcountyregister.blogspot.com/2008/10/this-editor-says-goodbye-to-lcrp-and.html
I will be taking a 14 month "sabbatical" after this election and concentrate on blogging and volunteer work. I also will continue to do "public record" searchs on many governments watching "where the people's money is spent".
I believe Obama/Biden will win with over 300 electoral votes. Lubbock County will probably vote 60% or more republican in total votes cast. It's been 70%-30% republican for a while but this last primary actually had a virtual even split with slight advantage in Democrat totals.

We actually had a large crowd at 50th Street caboose(around 50 or so including Todd Klein) but it was so loud we moved to Crickets wherewatch parties normally were. Democrats had a "spy" at Crickets and when I went to soft drink machine he "scurried" to his table(bald headed character with several democrat buttons on). The crowd was same with Winn brothers,me,Greg Lewis,Irene Howell,Ruth and about 50 people. All the chairs in the front entrance but a few were moved to get the crowd a place to sit. I think Pratt was at both meetings and it was "BORING" as DrudgeReport described. I informed my readers today I would forego further GOP functions until femi-fascism mess in GOP is "cleaned up".

WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR BILL TO ENDORSE OBAMA? IF HE THINKS THAT BY WHAT HE IS SAYING AND DOING NOW HIS GOING TO HELP US OUT OF THIS MESS, HE'S WRONG. WHY CAN'T HE SPEAK BETTER AND MORE HIGHLY ABOUT OBAMA? IF HE THINKS THAT WE WILL VOTE FOR HILLARY IN 2012 WHEN SHE RUNS AGAINST McCAIN, HE IS MISTAKEN I WILL HOLD HIM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS OF ANOTHER BUSH TERM. HE NEEDS TO START DOING RIGHT IS RIGHT FOR THE AMERICANS THAT VOTED HIM IN OFFICE FOR TWO TERMS AND PUT AWAY HIS RESENTMENT ABOUT HILLARY NOT WINNIG. I WANTED HER TO WIN BUT THAT'S NOT WHO WON WITH THE PROCESS THAT WE HAVE. BILL YOU NEED TO STOP ACTING LIKE YOU ARE AND START HELPING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO ELECT OBAMA. DO YOUR DUTY TO THE AMERICANS THAT ARE SUFFERING DAILY!

In the 1982 Mark White/Bill Clements race there were bumper stickers with Democrats For Clements all over Lubbock. I suspect that Frank Guiterrez saw those years ago. So far democrats have complained about Bill McCay and Frank Guiterrez campaigns and neither complaint appears to have any substance. Democrats didn't deal with Gilbert Flores sign "irregularity" until another democrat(Ysidrio Guiterrez)brought a complaint. I've spent 3 days at the "Fair" talking politics at the (R) cube and we've given so many bumper stickers(McCain)away and free "R" little cubes with peanuts free that half of the county will have yardsigns, bumper stickers or cube-doorhangers. I even had 3 elected republicans "quiz" Chris Winn on "Why Is Clif Burnett here?" Those 3 republicans were Bill McCay,Patti Jones and David Guiterrez. Patti Jones even went as far as to say,"Clif,I am going to work here(at the "Cube")on Thursday". I ask Chris Winn,"Who invited her,Chairman?". He couldn't answer that one but he did shrug his shoulders and smile. The "Fair" continues through Saturday and most of the action will be at the "R" cube behind the restaurants before fairgoers get to the building where "Women Democrats" booth is. I was selling yardsigns for $1 and $2 but Chris Winn said "$5 on the signs Clif,we have to pay our rent here." The next "exciting thing" at "R" cube could be the long awaited Clif Burnett/Patti Jones "screaming match" over "big government"(Patti Jones vs "small government"(Clif Burnett). Head out to the "Fair"!

The key word in that booth is "women". I will be at the (R) cube Monday Thru Friday from 10AM-2PM "talking politics" and I don't expect any "women democrats" to find the (R) cube since it's outside and behind the "food joints". I checked out the (D) booth and it was unmanned so guess "women" were somewhere being non-functional since it a "women's only" deal just like the party headquarters.

I consulted Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and they've yet to determine if they will petition for Beer&Wine only or Beer,Wine and Liquor. I advised the political liaison that Beer&Wine petitions would be easily feasible and getting beer&wine approved by voters would probably happen. Signatures on beer, wine and liquor would be a little tougher and opposition to liquor would be "stiff". They indicated they would form a PAC at Chamber of Commerce and work from the PAC. I can't vote or sign petition but I encourage city residents to do both and maybe beer&wine prices will deflate if local grocery stores get in the alcohol market.

I'll be voting for Fullingim and hope to get a Fullingim bumper sticker as well as a John Miller bumper sticker so I can send my "fellow republicans" a signal that local republicans are "unfit" to serve any longer. I will forego any democrat rallies since local democrats have made it "very clear" Clif Burnett's "smaller government" ideology is "not welcome" at local Democrat headquarters. I haven't decided if I'll run for County Chair of Republican or Democrat Party in Lubbock just yet but either way I will campaign more actively in 2010. CHEERS!!
