…that this year’s Texas State Democratic Convention will almost certainly be larger than this year’s Texas State Republican Convention?
…that this year’s Texas State Democratic Convention in Austin will be larger than this year’s National Democratic Convention in Denver?
…that this year’s Texas State Democratic Convention will very likely be the event that puts Barack Obama over the winning number of delegates?
Needless to say — I’m pretty excited!

Aren’t the media sources already counting the Texas delegates in their counts of “pledged” delegates? I know MSNBC is.
I’m afraid these numbers are not quite as firm as the media wants us to believe. I don’t think there have been more than a few state conventions where the delegates where actually pledged.
Not being argumentative. Just curious.

I hear ya.
The media count for TX delegates is already included in most totals, but it is not the final tally. I expect Obama to do better than expected at the State Convention, as he has done at every level in the TX convention process so far.
Say — are you going to the State Convention? It would be cool to see you there. :)

No. There aren’t but 16 delegates from Midland County. I didn’t feel right pushing to get one of those slots when a lot of folks have put in a lot more time and effort over the years helping the county Democratic Party.
Have fun and come back with good ideas on how to win all the races!
