The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce should also be involved in promoting their membership(local businesses). I made that point before city council in my 3 minute presentation and Eddie McBride looked "bumfuzzled" that anyone would suggest such a thing. The government is in "essential services" business and is NOT in the business of promoting "for profit" businesses just because they get "taxes" off those for profit businesses.
